UP Centennial joins Ebay.ph Fashion Challenge 2008 August 2, 2008

The University of the Philippines Centennial (100th years) Celebration in partnership with eBay Philippines is having a fashion contest entitled Fashion Challenge 2008. This contest will allow students to discover their creativity in finding the best shopping deals on eBay.ph.

Total prize is worth over PHP 30,000. So, read more and join the fun!

Ebay.ph Fashion Challenge 2008

How can you join, register and win this contest?
1) If you are a UP Student
a. Register for free Ebay Membership at Ebay.ph where it is fast and easy to do so.
b. Then create a team with another UP Student. The two of you need to be current students with valid student ID and must be Ebay members prior to entering the contest.
c. Register for the contest your Team using both Ebay user names and personal contact information at the contest’s website.
d. When you submit your contest application, as a team you must submit one (1) latest photograph of each Team Member specifying which member will be the Stylist and who will be the Model
e. Plus, include a write-up of about 250 words about how your fashion style is an expression of your individual personality and character.

The Team Finalists
1. Eight Teams will be chosen from all submissions.
2. Team Finalists will have two to three weeks and a Globe Gcash worth PHP 5,000 as shopping money.
3. One of the Team members must register with Globe’s GCASH to receive this budget.
4. Each Team needs to purchase a full outfit on Ebay Philippines using at least 80% of the money allocation.
5. Make sure you account for your shopping purchase by submitting the list of items bought at Ebay.ph, including item descriptions, auction numbers and its prices.
6. Finally, each Team must submit a photograph featuring the Model wearing the eBay purchased outfit styled by the Stylist.

How to score on this contest?
1. Invite all your UP and Non-UP friends, family members and Ebay members to vote for your team at the online POLL. This Poll will be part of the 30% of the final score to determine the Top 3 winners.

2. Impress the panel of judges during the Fashion Show to be held on 18 September 2008 at Fiamma in Makati.
a. Finalists will showcase their fashion style and Ebay.ph finds during a live fashion show.
b. Judges include eBay.ph style ambassador Jolina Magdangal and representatives from the Promoter, University of the Philippines and Shu Uemura.
c. The panel of judges’ score will comprise 70% of the total score.

Contest Prizes up for grabs?
The Top 3 Winners will walk away with the following prizes:

1st Prize: PHP 15,000 cash, a Shu Uemura styling scholarship for 2 and a winner’s plaque for each Team member
2nd Prize: PHP 10,000 cash and first runner up’s plaque for each Team member
3rd Prize: PHP 7,000 cash and second runner up’s plaque for each Team member
